This image was taken in the fall along the Jessop Trail in Acadia National Park, Maine, The soft diffuse light from the cloud cover produced the even contrast throughout the scene.

This image was taken on a cloudy rainy afternoon in the Asticou Azalea Gardens, Northeast Harbor, Maine near Acadia National Park. The moisture on the foliage and the diffuse light resulting from the cloud cover, was responsible for the vibrant colors in this image.
